Farm

At Treimer's Insurance, we take the worry out of your
life. Let us work for you to ensure a positive, thorough and complete transition. Please review our farm insurance information listed below.

  • Fire coverage.  Fire coverage is not included in your Multi-Peril/Federal Crop Policy (except lightning damage).  However, it is included if you purchased a crop hail policy.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you are interested in fire coverage, or additional fire coverage in excess of your crop hail policy.  As a precaution, be sure your fire extinguishers have been charged and are in your fall harvesting equipment, and that you have a disc hooked up to a tractor and accessible for use.

  • Chopping.  If you are planning on chopping your corn for silage, an appraisal by an adjuster must be completed to determine the production.  If an adjuster cannot be on the farm when the chopping is being completed, then strips must be left.  Strips are to be 10 feet wide and the length of the field; three strips for the first 10 acres and an additional strip for every 40 acres after.
